Our Sustainability Policy & Objectives

Sustainability is integrated into Lux Crafter’s business operations, supply chain and destination management. Our sustainability policy focuses on reducing environmental impact, supporting local communities and livelihoods, protecting cultural heritage and biodiversity, strengthening responsible supplier practices and promoting responsible travel.
We are committed to continuous improvement through sustainability monitoring, stakeholder engagement, staff and partner training, measurable objectives and regular review of our practices.

Sustainability Statement

Our company has achieved Travelife Partner recognition.

Travelife Partner is the entry recognition level within the international Travelife sustainability programme for tour operators and travel agents. This recognition confirms our commitment to further improving the sustainability of our business operations through a structured sustainability management system and the
implementation of recognised sustainability practices.

Travelife Partner recognition is awarded following an independent assessment based on the Travelife Partner criteria. During this assessment, our sustainability policy, objectives, management system, implementation of key sustainability practices and supporting documentation are evaluated against 60 mandatory sustainability criteria.

To maintain this recognition, our company is independently reassessed every two years to verify that we continue to comply with the Travelife Partner criteria. Travelife Partner also provides the basis for progressing to the highest recognition level: Travelife Certified.

This recognition is awarded following a comprehensive independent on-site audit based on the Travelife Certified criteria. This standard comprises more than 200 mandatory sustainability criteria and verifies the
implementation of sustainability management and sustainability practices throughout the entire organisation.

Travelife Partner Recognition

Achieved Travelife Partner recognition following an independent assessment against 60 mandatory sustainability criteria.

Agroforestry Initiative

1.75-acre agroforestry initiative with 368 mature trees, with the company’s policy recording estimated annual carbon sequestration of 8–10 tonnes.

Resource Management

Waste segregation, LED lighting, energy conservation, reduced single-use plastics and rainwater harvesting implemented within office operations.

Responsible Transport

Lower-emission transport, shared transfers and transport consolidation are encouraged where practical.

Responsible Accommodation Practices

Structured sustainability considerations covering energy, water, waste, cultural heritage, safety and community contribution are incorporated into accommodation evaluation.

Local Engagement and Livelihoods

Local guides, suppliers and talent are prioritised, with emphasis on fair working conditions and sustainability training.
